Best Wines of the Year!
Discovering great new wines of all types from around the globe is what drives the Wine Enthusiast team of reviewers. This year they blind-tasted more than 23,000 bottles in the past 12 months and then narrowed down to an elite list of 100 exceptional wines. This year’s 100 are not simply the highest-scoring bottles, nor are they the most expensive—these are wines that opened the reviewers’ eyes and stimulated their imaginations.
Convene by Dan Kosta comes in at #13 on the list!
Convene is where the story continues for one of Sonoma’s most decorated vintners. Building on his experiences as the co-founder of Kosta Browne Winery, Dan’s commitment to crafting world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the world’s finest appellations remains unwavering. With Convene, Dan’s winemaker of choice is Shane Finley, with whom he has collaborated since the early days at Kosta Browne. Over many vintages, they have developed a shared appreciation for what makes a wine memorable. Their pursuit of the blend is the magic of Convene, representing their ongoing journey to create a world-class wine experience that is rooted in history and expertise.
The 99 other wines on the top 100 list are wines we’re keeping our eyes on, and you should, too. Several are from new wineries, under-the-radar regions, made from unusual grape varieties or in innovative styles. The majority of them are ready to drink now and are sure to bring something palpably different and energizing to your table during the upcoming holiday season.
